Tyrell serves as an Analytical Senior Research Associate and provides analytical support for the development and scale-up of bioproducts and bioprocesses across various projects. Her involvement spans developing, optimizing, and executing analytical methods; lab management; instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; and researching biofuels and biochemicals, in addition to waste conversion and plastic upcycling.
Tyrell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry and Forensic Science. Before joining ABPDU, she spent four years as a QC Laboratory Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry, conducting analytical and wet chemistry tests on a variety of pharmaceutical ingredients under GMP/GLP standards. In her role as a QC analyst, she managed method and technical transfers, handled data through LIMS applications like SAP and LabVantage, performed investigation reporting, mentored new analysts, and coordinated with external entities.
